Don't settle for sharing unintelligible finance reports
Demystify finance information for non-financial managers
Are your finance reports fit for purpose?
Other departments rely on finance to provide them with accurate information around sales and expenditure and to support financial decisions.
Chances are most non-financial managers receive financial and accounting information as boring PDF documents or Excel spreadsheets. This doesn't give them the information they need in a form they can readily use. Nor do they have the latest data on which to base decisions.
They have to wade through this information to pinpoint the numbers that matter. This takes up more of their time than it should.
So, how do you share financial information beyond the finance department in a form that aids decision making?

Put finance information into the hands of everyone who needs it
DecisionPoint™ makes it easy for you to create and share financial insights with a wide range of people across your organization.
Now you can bring your finance data to life in a clear format that non-financial managers can understand. It's completely customizable and highly interactive. This gives people the confidence to navigate finance data to answer their daily and one off questions, for themselves. As more people are able to watch the numbers more closely, they are able to understand the financial implications of their decisions, which helps optimize budgets, manage risks, and control costs.
Example: Accounts Receivable APP
This dashboard app shows key metrics for an accounts receivables team. The data has been sourced from the finance modules of the organization's ERP system.
The summary view shows outstanding and overdue amounts with KPIs for days sales outstanding, % invoices overdue and average order value. Two tables show a breakdown by region and the top 10 customers for the selected area. This is fully interactive, so notice how as you drill down through the geographic hierarchy, all of the visualizations change to reflect the selected area. Even the list of top 10 customers with the highest outstanding balances changes accordingly.
At any point you can use the invoice details button to pull up a list of the underlying invoices. You can also use the resource planning button to pop-up a view where you can model headcount against the number of daily invoices processed.
